The thing is genius, actually. Fan blows on heatsink and is physically separated from the interior. Water that happens to get on the fan, will be just blown out and never enter the body.

because Panasonic had best menus, ergonomics, IBIS and video features and the only thing they lacked was competent AF. now they have that at $2000, which is outstanding.
Snoy and Scanon literally cannot compete. the S5IIX will be the GH5 of full frame

You missed the point of the original post you used the shoe for. It was about snoy's IBIS underperforming its rating. Your exif says you have a GH5. Panasoinc is not snoy.

Panasoincs IBIS actually does its job. Snoy, however, is more like 3 stop IBIS even when rated for 6 stops.

Im seriously considering buying this. To me it looks like a better Sony (compared to the A7IV). Its slightly cheaper (like $200), with better ergonomics. Im only interested in Sigma prime lenses, and these are available for both the Leica L and the Sony E mounts. So the question is then, what about the autofocus system? Is it good enough for portrait and people/street photography?

I have considered a Canon R6 but wondering whether I should just go with this new Lumix instead.

What about jpg colors? Better or worse than Sony/Canon?

Define good enough for you. Yeah, it's good enough for anyone's needs, it might be even better with future firmware update. But from comparisons it's still slightly worse than A7iv in the speed it acquires focus. To me it looks like that and to some reviewers that I watched. What it looks like to you, it's another story.

Consensus on autofocus is that it's pretty competitive with the best in the market. Def exceeds the needs of damn near every use case. In terms of colors, Panasonic doesn't have the memetic hype of Canon or Fuji, but honestly shit doesn't matter if you're doing your own raw editing and also I also think Panasonic's colors tend to be pretty good anyhow.

because pany flew all the reviewers out to japan to wine and dine them prior to the release of the camera, and tells them when the details are allowed to be released so that if you're a good pany boy you get to have your video up with everyone elses and get them views, likes, and affiliate clicks.

It doesnt hurt that most photogs inclyding the reviewers like pany cameras except for the AF capabilities, which pany is now in the process of actually making better
