>>4124029You don't need a brand new camera. Most pros don't even need a new camera. We buy new cameras for warranty, insurance, and professional image reasons or just cause we're rich (lol). Also higher burst rates and faster AF make more clients happy because more keepers is good.
If you are starting out you aren't competing with the "real pros" yet. Snag a good deal on literally any full frame mirrorless camera with at least 24mp. It does not matter which one. All FF mirrorless cameras have the lenses you need and the features you need. You could get your camera and first all-rounder prime (35mm to 50mm no slower than f2.8) for around $1250 to $1500.
just don't fall for these memes
>DSLRsThese are bulky and have very slow capture rates and slower less accurate AF. If you want to shoot professionally, which usually means moving people, these make it harder
>APSC aka DX, depending on what you're doingClients don't know how cameras work. They don't want you to use any artificial lighting. They still want sharp, bright pictures in dim shitty light. Retards? So you must turn the ISO up which increases noise. APSC cameras have twice as much noise overall and noise in the shadow details as FF cameras from the same generation.
>Micro four thirdsTwice as bad as APSC with noise, daylight camera only
>Gearfagging if you're just doing it as a hobby to impress people on 4chan/instagramIf you do not have someone telling you to shoot and what to do with the shots it doesn't fucking matter. Don't waste your money if you don't want to. The majority of hobby photographers do fine with cheap micro four thirds, APS-C cameras, and DSLRs. Just, on my advice, stay away from fuji. It is very, very, very overpriced. If you want a rangefinder looking camera get a sony A6XXX camera, they are just as good and often better than fuji while being $500+ cheaper. Also avoid pentax. No lenses. This causes a lot of fuji/pentax memers on /p/ to hate on sony. Buyers remorse.
