Has anyone had experience with both of these lenses?

>currently have the 50mm 1.8 S-Line
>desperately want a 1:1 macro
>no point keeping 2 x 50mm
>can effectively swap at no or minimal cost used for used to the 50/2.8 MC
thoughts on whether the 50 2.8 could replace the 1.8 as a general use daily as well as for 1:1 macro stuff?
