Any reason why nikon won't make a AF-D adapter for the Z mount?

This is what prevents me from going Mirrorless.
I need an adapter that allows me to use all the old D lenses.

So you have to buy the "new" Z lenses. Nikon doesn't have any profit from the used market.

you have over 20years worth of af-s lenses and all the new z lenses to pick from
the overlap of people wanting a new mirrorless, and also wanting use 20-30 year old af-d lenses is pretty small
and for those few, they can just get one of the af adapters for m-lenses and mount your af-d lenses to that

It's the same as Nikon's ftz and doesn't work with af-d lenses either

They both work perfectly for af-d lenses, if you can't I to manual focus even with insanely good focus peaking and confirmation tools then I guess just stick with you dinosaur dslr, nikon doesn't care about the 0.1% of artists like you

Also it took Sony like 15 years to and 5 iterations of their adapter ro i clude screw mount and only for a6600 and a7r4 so don't hold your breath

tbf if they made it all gears, it'd break much sooner when their users not used to shooting real cameras try to manually focus override screw drive lense and completely destroy the gears

I use a DSLR and the best thing about Nikon DSLRs is all the dirt cheap AF-D glass, keep your filthy mirrorless hands off

Built in AF motor adapter Forsyth came out in 2012, and is also available in the LA-EA4. The LA-EA5 is just newer and better that’s all.
