I'm trying to start a business that's basically an instant film photobooth, for weddings, birthdays, and all types of events. Do y'all think it would be viable?

Sort of. Instant film is a buck a shot, so you have to be comfortable charging 5x that.

my greater metropolitan area is about a million people and there's a business that does that here. so i'll say yes, depending on the size of your city. in fact check to see if one exists there already
