As a genre, street isn't real, it's just photography. Ordinary stuff. Contemporary. "Street photography" is a cope meant to validate a bunch of shitty photos by making them sound hip.

Let's use "street" to isolate the winogrand larpers from the rest of photography. Kind of like how "prog" is used to isolate talentless hacks from music at large. They can make up subgenres but it won't matter, the "ignore me" label is there.
