>>4127387Compressed RAW video, like BRAW, is much closer to RAW stills than compressed JPEGs. For example, changing ISO and WB is completely non-destructive. Even on BRAW 12:1 (most compressed, roughly 5 MB/frame at 4.6K), you're getting way more control than any H264 footage (which is kind of like the JPEG of video) simply due to BRAW being 12-bit.
You absolutely don't need RAW to make great looking videos or movies. 10-bit and a flat profile (LOG) is usually plenty, if you've got a well exposed image to start with. Most Hollywood productions are still shot using Prores, because they have enough money to expose their shots properly. RAW is really nice when you don't have perfect control over the lighting, such as during a weeding video shoot.
