Pretty sure the red and white were reflections off a sparkly Christmas tree garland from nearby xmas tree lights. Might have been a set of white lights. Incandescent of course, in 1986. I imagine the camera was very close. That lens does not focus particularly close, but I couldn't tell you where the focus was adjusted to. Perhaps infinity. The round bokeh tells me it was wide open because the lens gives hexagonal bokeh otherwise. I'll have to try to reproduce this shot sometime. Glad you liked it.
