>>4131266>>4131310 Having a bright light or flash on the camera definitely kills the mood, this community is pretty unhappy with photos being taken and a lot of these events have a no photo policy in the first place. Even when it's allowed it feels like a faux pas, with flash being particularly frowned upon. Maybe they're happy my pictures come out so dark you can't see shit, come to think of it.
Last night I tried bringing a dimmable LED panel programmed to pulse in/out a soft blue but even the dimmest setting was a bit obnoxious. I thought I could just blend it into the house lights and have it light up an area where people were likely to hang out, then sit and wait like a wildlife photographer.. but it seems like people actively avoided it, instead. Maybe for the best anyway, I didn't really like leaving my lights around the place unattended.
