You can create catalogs for different clients, use keywords, make smart collections, look up images with focal lenght, camera type, format, crop etc... It's about being able to organise your files very efficiently. Using virtual copies is also extremely handy, since they dont take up any extra space. If you're a pro and yoi have 50.000 images, and want to find some, its gonna be a pain in the ass to dig them out and find them for clients. Lightroom makes this easy and efficient.
