After canon were in first for 13 years, and despite having lenses for 3 different mounts and trying to lock out 3rd party sellers, Sony have finally overtaken them.

This data cements Sony shooters as the ones most passionate, they're not buying a shitty body and kit lens combo, they're buying expensive lenses, by the bucket full.

And I'd wager a considerable portion of those sigma and tamron sales are being mounted on Sony cameras too.

Now that Sony are first for body AND lens sales, and they have a near monopoly on the sensor market, is there realistically ever going to be anyone else that catches up to them in the next 10 years?
