>>4130252I live in a town that's literally right below the second highest mountain peak of the Alps, 20 minutes away from some random village that has a road that leads approx. 2,600m up the mountain but the god damn road after like 1,900m mark (or so) gets so fucked that it takes about 5 hours to get to the ''meadow'' at end of the road because you have to drive slow as fuck, otherwise you go on the express trip to sea level - oh and there's no guard rails or any safety measures whatsoever from like 2k meters up.
It's all pine forests and random tree forests all around. Lived here since birth and probably spent more time in the forests than those ''no tool, no shelter survival'' obsessed weirdos. Would you believe me when I told you that I've never seen or heard a large branch or a tree fall down, in my entire life? I've seen plenty of fallen, broken off branches and trees but never witnessed it happen, despite basically living in a forest most of my childhood and teen life. Even in my early 20's I've spent quite a bit of time camping out there. Never, ever seen or heard a large branch or a tree fall.
Maybe it's just my luck but from my experience, the answer to your question would be; Less than 0.1% chance to get fucked up by a huge falling branch or a tree, because even if you do witness it happen, chances are, it won't happen to/on a tree right next to you.
