For me, its my Sony 35mm /1.4 GM lens which I got new in my country for around $400usd. It was obviously a price error but I was shocked when it actually showed up in the mail.

A 15000 event I was hired to produce, as part of it there has to be a large print so guest can take pictures with it it as a background, all was handled through some executive, happens that her boss was a total bully and didn’t liked any of the possible pictures our photographer has taken for making that print with his 20.000 rig, when we did the shooting I had been carrying with me a camera just to have some pictures evidencing the job, they end up picking one taken with my xt1 with a 60’s Minolta lenses in jpeg, it was a 13 by 10 print, graphic designer made some kind of vudu magic for making that jpeg look decent.

My own x-t2 was a relative deal: low use, all original accessories, and 6 OEM batteries for $460

My own copy of the xf35f1.4 was also purchased cheaply, won it for $290 on ebay when the going rate was ~$400

The body and 24-70 were actually waaaay cheaper than anywhere else was offering at the time, I have no idea why, I've never before/after seen BB have good prices on anything. The 85 was the same to sale listings at Adorama/B&H. with the cash back I saved a total of $1600

Canon me200s-sh on ebay for £300. Retail was like 4k.

Anamorphic lenses new for 6 grand. Website listed them incorrectly. Supposed to be 10 grand. Called them and they said OK our mistake and sold them to me.

Another canon me200s-sh for £800

Sold both cameras on ebay for 2 grand each.

Canon teleconverter lens for £30. RRP is around 350+.

I've been having fun, yes. Unfortunately the 18-135 ate shit a while back so I've been using an old 50mm that I picked up. Not great but not terrible and it's forced me to improve.

One bought a lot of old camera equipment with the intention to sell and it turned out to have a few of those S.S.C Canon FD primes included which i flipped for a $700 profit. There has probably been more great deals, but that is what i remember from the top of my head.

Nah, that's just the windshield of the truck. There's a little bit of shit inside the lens proper that sometimes shows up and has been there since I bought it but for $15 I can't bring myself to be too upset about it.

I bought both of those things right after I got my camera, along with a UV filter.

Apart from that, what did you think of the photo? On the one hand I like it as is but on the other hand I also like this square crop.

In 2012 I got Adobe Design Premium 5.5 for $90 and lightroom 3 for $20 with a free upgrade to lightroom 4. It was a price mistake on adobe's website. Dug up the old forum thread where I found it.

Canon GL2 that I got from Cash Converter for around AUD200 few years ago.

While I did bought it pretty cheap, the accessories that I need to get the most of it does get expensive. I had to buy a macbook with thunderbolt port, couple of batteries, a spare charger (old one looks pretty beat up), fresh miniDV cassettes, etc. Now I'm trying to convert it to into a cassetteless camcorder using external capture device.

All in all the accessories cost me around 800 bucks kek

It's a good thing I did most of my shopping before covid since prices are ridiculous now. A few that I remember:

Olympus 35 RC for 25,- Euro
Polaroid SLR 680 for 100,-
Nikon F4 with 35-70 for 20,- or so at a second hand store.
Rolleiflex 3.5a for 230,-.

They are not all spherical elements inside the lens. Also they are generally built to withstand heavy knocks and film set wear and tear.

I sometimes use them on a banged up gh5 with the IBIS and it works a treat. True panavision images in raw format.
