Tell your model to fix her posture, shoulders back, turn slightly (to not be square with camera), chin a little bit downward. Also, put a reflector to her right so you don't get as strong shadows, unless that was what you were going for.

Mirrorless was never about image quality. D850 and K-1 II are the kind of cameras one uses as a gold standard of image quality. The mirror is like the exhaust.

Lol. It is practically identical to the D810 in all sane usage (other than pushing the shadows so far they're 50% noise) and the lenses for pentax full frame are largely too soft for 36mp while nikon has top shelf glass. And too limited. Pentax isn't a pro-friendly system, or even a hobbyist friendly one. There are probably 3 professional pentax photographers on the planet and 2 of them consider the K1 their travel camera alternative to their 645Z out of brand loyalty and nothing else.

Nikon = image quality
Pentax = look the sensor jiggles and the screen flips out

Sorry, I forgot it was the II. The K-1 is practically identical to the D810.

The K-1 *II* has forced noise reduction that softens and sometimes erases details and turns your shadows increasingly purple if you raise the ISO or push the shadows because the current owners of pentax do not actually know how to make a camera and the first K-1 was based on the R&D of long departed engineers.

Both versions of the K-1 can use Nikon lenses without optical elements if you're so anal about muh nikkor.
Your noise reduction complaints are based on parroting and not real experience. More often than not NR is a godsend.

Your camera doesn't work with the industry standard workflow. Exposure pushing, unlike fuji oversharpening (who tf does that anyways), is a standard procedure for the kind of shit the K1 is meant for. The K1 II, despite still being expensive, is worse as a professional camera than the nikon equivalent, and worse as a hobbyist camera.

They are also rather unreliable, and pentax has some of the worst customer service on earth if you dare live outside of japan.

You can't really blame the camera for Lightroom not handling out of range values properly, but anyways it's not as big of an issue as you make it seem. It can be handled in lightroom itself if you know what you're doing.

You don't have to "over" sharpen to get worms, and it's not the only artifact it produces. Foliage on fuji cameras looks like utter shit.

Unreliable how? I've seen one work without fault in the Mojave desert day after day shooting 1k+ pics a day for a year now.

Failing main boards on K1s
Failure to produce black shadows on K1-IIs and K3-IIIs
Failing aperture blocks on earlier APS-C cameras
Weather sealing does not actually work, disproportionate number of failures for how few pentax owners there are
Failing SDM autofocus motors
Made in vietnam lenses with autofocus motors have issues with lens contacts randomly falling off
70-200 F2.8 and 150-450 tripod foot has a design flaw that causes it to stop locking or just fall off

And pentax has almost no service so good luck
