>>4133852if you're scanning with silverfast AI:
1. turn on ISRD if you're scanning color negatives
2. set it to 3600 (you already have). that's the scanners maximum OPTICAL resolution, the rest is digital add-on.
3. if you scan color, turn on Negafix and pick the right film.
3.1. make sure that the red border frame does not COVER any of the border if you've misaligned the film in the tray. it's better to leave a tiny amount of the negative out and let Negafix pop those colors properly, otherwise, this function can be a bit murky. if you don't seem to get consistent results with Negafix, don't use it.
5. don't play with exposure settings when scanning, do it in Lightroom. only exception is saturation, you might end up with better results through a scan than Lr. up to you
6. play around with "tolerance" to see how the colors shift and leave it at a level you see fit
7. CCR (color cast removal) is optional. Turn it off and on to see what looks best. if the film stock (like Gold) is yellow, it'll try to remove some of it on its own, but if you want to keep that yellow, turn it off. it's up to you
8. TURN OFF UNSHARP MASKING/AUTO SHARPNESS!!! RUINS THE SCAN
9. good luck and shoot film
