Anyone have any experience doing photography of Whales and Dolphins?
I'm going on a trip and will have an opportunity to go on a tour like this.
The thing is I don't have any good telephoto lenses.
Basically, I'd be using a Wide Zoom hoping they come really close to the boat. Praying for that shot that even the photographers with a 70mm lens on would be too close to capture properly.
But how dangerous is bringing my DSLR on a boat with potential to get wet? I'll be on a smaller boat.
I keep going back and forth on this. I will be doing a ton of photography on this trip.
Maybe the whale watching can be the one thing I don't take a picture of?
