Guys, (and gals, lol jks) I have an old film era zoom lens, not too dissimilar to picrel, and using it manual focus adapted to my mirrorless (brand-free designation to avoid brand whore wars) and I've been trying to video with it but having issues with zooming and holding focus when zooming. Am I doing something wrong or?
>filming full body scene of person standing at wide open, focus is perfect set, person is in focus
>zooming in capture persons face (pondering into the sunset type of stuff)
>face is out of focus
wtf?? have confirmed focus hasn't moved cuase i've modified the ring to be dampended, is the scale not accurate at all zoom range or something? is there published offset tables I can refer to?
