it blurs details, eats stars, introduces purple artifacts if you want to push shadows up in post, and generally does a worse job than topaz, lightroom, or darktable
the only other major changes are handheld pixel shift that no one uses, and a fix to the mode dial failure problem
they also added a firmware feature and later backported it to the K1. a virtual ND filter you need to pay $70 for, and only japanese people can use it. they also revised the film sim ("custom image") feature so different sims, and the ND filter, only work on different lenses, supposedly to get people to buy those lenses.
it was named the worst camera of the year and is the point where everyone interested in full frame ditched pentax. it's still an ok aps-c system, if you only want to shoot raw.
