Manual focus only would be an inconvenience, but I like manually focusing and it would be nice to have a more reliable focusing aid than peaking, which really doesn't work well.
Maybe I should get a film Leica for the lower cost to use on the side, and a year down the line I can decide if I want to switch to Leica full time, keep it as a side thing, or sell it and probably get my money back.
If film, thoughts on M6 or pre-M6? Pre-M6 will be cheaper, but then I'll have to factor in the cost of a light meter, which will be more fiddly and less reliable since it's not through the lens. On the other hand it may feel liberating to not feel the need to meter everything exactly, but take a few readings when conditions change and then go with the gut.
