Its not twice the size of course, but the weight of it is almost that. The physical dimensions are about 50% larger.
Battery life doesn't matter that much to some people. They either shoot in a studio, use it as a webcam (connected to a charger), or they carry extra batteriesvin their pocket.
IBIS only matters to people shooting architecture or landscapes without a tripod in low light. Also almost all of Canon's RF mount lenses have built-in IS good for 5 stops, so IBIS isn't that important if using these lenses.
