I'm debating buying a new overhead flash for the DIY concert venues in my area, as the lighting is pretty shit because they're run by small-time places. I feel bad using OH flash to essentially stun the band, but it's so dark because the lights are off that even with a Canon EOS R10 and ISO bumped up, I can't get a clean shot. I know the issue is the venue but is the Overhead flash really considered "bad manners" if it's the only way to get something visible?
