>>4145790>he thinks retails can market brands however they wantHowever they want? No. Something like this, absolutely reasonable.
>>4145792>They have to all be preapproved by the manufacturers, dumb assAbsolutely not the case.
This is 100% just some employee popping that Godox flash on for looks.
I worked at the largest camera shops in my state (3rd in region), up to managing a location for a few years.
Brands would send in posters, flyers, display stands, etc, but gave almost no guidelines for the actual product merchandising. We'd often have vendor event days, and the reps themselves almost never did any merchandising, and wacky display setups like this were very common.
In the case of Fuji, it was easy to go several years before anyone from Fuji ever set foot in-store, if they did at all. The only direct communication I ever did with Fuji myself was signing up for their employee program. Other brands like Nikon/Canon/Sony would be in every 2-3 months on average, but still never gave a shit. Never saw Pana/Oly, and Sigma only once.
I later worked in management / operations for a larger retail company, and while some brands were a bit pickier with merchandising, and a few had visual merchandisers in, there was still a large amount of discretion, especially for displays.
