A general to talk about the most important part of a lens... the cap!!

So /p/ what are your thoughts on lens caps? Do you ever upgrade them with aftermarket or newer technology caps? Or do you prefer period correct caps?

For example I shoot a lot of FD lenses but I can't stand the old lens caps aesthetic when adapted to my R6, also for some reason autists are gatekeeping the price of replacement caps at astronomical lenses so I just bought some $1 RF lens style caps from China and I think it looks way better.
