Apparently using an infrared filter in the camera, we can see much further. I've seen some clips where they took pictures from Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles, and could see all the way to Isla de Cedros, Baja California Sur. And that wasn't even with a super telephoto lens.

Thinking of converting one of my cameras to IR to try this out. But it's quite and expensive process. Anyone done it?
