>>4154087Well you can improve your picrel relatively easily, the goal is to make the subject stand out. To achieve this you can use some kind of light source, so that the vase is brighter than the background. Or if your background is busy, a shallow depth of field. You can also use contrast: put the vase against a dark background, or any background, that has a vastly different color (see: complementary colors).
An other important thing is to minimize distractions, in your case the reflection on the vase, and the cup in the bottom. You could add those cups back later, but try to be intentional about it, not just randomly place it somewhere.
You can also look at still life paintings, or photos and try to analyze them, and figure out what makes them work.
And finally, just experiment a lot, try one thing at a time, for example don't start with 3 different lights, just use your phone's flash, and see what angle does what.
