Other than the risk of not being taken seriously, what's stopping me from using a hand me down iphone 6, some cheap clip on fisheye lens and a handle rig to film skateboard video instead of blowing a grand on a VX/HVX and some overpriced deathlens fisheye lens?

because I had one lying around and because newer iphone no longer shoots native 720p. Also since it's a single camera shooter it's easier to mount these clip on lens compared to newer phones with multiple cameras that is housed on a glass camera island that's prone to scratch
