I've owned this camera, I can confirm it doesn't do see-what-you-get live view like other mirrorless or non-OEM lense metering, you can do some daisy-chip fuckery to make some features work but what for? Otherwise it will adjust the gain to always show you a well balanced scene on the EVF regardless of your settings

Have you tried switching to manual mode? It may not have a mode dial but PASM are still accessed through menu's

Yes I tried everything, with adapted lens you could ONLY use manual mode, but there was no metering or exposure preview in evf or monitoring, this is widely documented, forum upon forum about how to overcome this limitation (hence the reference to daisy chip) but anything else is a lie or a cope, or a 2023 firmware release which I highly doubt

I use old cameras. (Faves being digilux 2 and panasonic l1, gf1)
Poor iso performance is a funny one hear a lot by gear fags.
Iso noise isn't an issue if the structure is grain like. Unlike modern fujifilms with their mushy worm like noise, a clean grain structure on the v1 is both a creative tool and can be easily cleaned up.
Lowlight? Use a flash. The V1 has an excellent multi directional flash.
If you shoot on film you are limited by iso/asa range and invest in a flash.
Limitations make you a better photographer.
V1 is a great little street shooter. Cheap and batteries last forever.
Film simulations? Shit loads online.

I honestly loved my V1. The little 10mm f2.8 was great. It had excellent AF at the time, could do 30/60fps stills (which I used for a few seconds of "RAW" video). Worked great with the FT-1. Got to use it with the 200-500 f5.6 for a bit too. It was a great little companion to use alongside my f-mount gear. The beach pics on this post >>4145447 were actually shot on one with F-mount lenses.

There was no metering with adapting anything outside of f-mount glass on FT-1. The V2/3 might have been different, but V1 definitely had limitations when using dumb adapters.

Unless they're in your iPhone, in which case now they're wonderful, right?
BTW the best small camera out there is the discontinued DXO One. It has a sharp 32mm lens (perfect focal length), and though it's a 1" sensor, it is excellent quality. It doesn't need to be plugged into a fagphone, you can use the little OLED display as a viewfinder.
