Why does everyone say that the picture is not fake because of the AI in the camera app?
It's logical to think that it is still fake, the AI intervenes too much.

If I take a blurry photo of your face where you can't see anything, and then take some paint and draw in what I remember your face really looked like, did I take a photo of your face or did I make a photo assisted drawing of your face?

This has disturbing implications. Imagine:
A real high resolution camera can capture what a police officer, soldier, or government official is actually doing. High resolution cameras are banned, or just confiscated at all costs if shit happens.
A phone camera AI paints over it so you can't capture the next tianmen square massacre and all you get is a photo of police officers/soldiers just standing around doing nothing. Automatically. That is what the world sees. The massacre never happened, stupid fucking conspiracy theorists! Ban all those nutjobs from every platform! Make spreading fake news a crime! Stop slandering our state!

That said some smartphone has more aggressive AI than the other. I've had Vivo X80 before and I really hate the fake looking picture even with AI shut off. Ended up giving it to my mom (who really likes the camera effect) and I brought myself a Samsung A53

They don't paint in details that were never there or force HDR on you like apple has since the iphone 13 pro

you /p/haggots already replace the sky, remove skin blemishes, smoothen skin, do puppet warp, clone stamp, healing tool, warp faces, straighten perspective, add blur, dodge and burn, hdr, slap filters, LUT, presets, film simulations.
photography is just photo manipulation. AI just made it easier.
