Plus I will never buy other peoples pictures, so now I have “art” for the walls of my house by just taking my own pictures and getting them blown up and framed.
A Nikon d610/600 is less than $500, and all you really need to get started is a 50mm lens which is also cheap.
Are my pictures usually pretty shit? Of course, but that’s part of the fun. Learning what works, what doesn’t, how to frame and make interesting compositions. It’s a great hoppy to accompany my other current ones, and it’s just one more excuse to leave the house and go hike or something
