The ring around the lens can be set to anything, the spin wheel does that and the buttons do that.

I'm not concerned with what I need. One I live in a free country and I have what I earn, not what the kamera komissar has allotted me based on how much the party thinks I need it. Two, even frugal purchases like this are beyond what I need. I already have a phone and I don't even need that.

It has that that's why it's so nice. Front ring can be changed to literally anything and there is a dial on the back so you can shoot full manual with physicals controls.

lol, that was a shot in the own leg. The S90 (predecessor) was the first digital camera I know of with a ring to. hange settings. And it was one of the first digital p&s that was said to improve and offer good manual control.
