How do I cope?

No.4154497 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I bought my first camera last year - a FF mirrorless with a 24-70 f2.8 zoom. Prior to this I was only using my (flagship) smartphone to take photos so obviously I was stunned by the image quality.
A few weeks into my photography journey I bought an 85mm f1.4 and was stunned again. I was literally able to see the pores on peoples' faces. I immediately felt like my 24-70's IQ was lackluster and that a bunch of the pictures I took on the 24-70 were "wasted" as I could've had even better quality with a different lens. However, at the same time, there are many situations where 85mm is too close to get the picture I want.
Why am I like this? Is there any cure for this specific type of nitpicking?
