I am looking for a small compact camera that will shoot RAW, have 4k and be reasonably priced.
I found lumix zs60/zs70, that fit the criteria, but they have timy sensor size 1/2.3"

Is there any competitors to them worth considering? (the price can be higher, but not crazy high)

These are not compact cameras, by compact I mean not interchangeable lenses to keep the small form factor, by adding a lens to them they would be too big

Yeah, poor people are real upset by breaking up the lines of their $80 walmart jeans. Even more upset by not feeling like they're in a sci-fi movie with small silver gadgets and animated holograms flying around. Unironically, and earnestly, I suggest the Galaxy S21 FE. 1/1.76" sensor, 1.8µm. Shoots RAW and 4K 60/30fps. Decent editing headroom up to ISO 400ish in RAW.

To get any better, you need at least a 1" sensor.

You know they sell used cameras, right? There are lots of idiots like you out there who bought a thing for too much money and regret it right afterward.

Yes I am planning to buy used camera, after comments on this thread I will find something with 1 inch sensor.

I don't want to buy a phone, because using a camera is just fun for me

I found lumix zs100/tz100 that seem to be checking all the marks, what do you think about that?

Pass.

Get an EOS M200. Then, at least, you'll have interchangeable lenses and an APS-C sensor. With the 22mm f/2.0 lens, it's about as compact as a P&S camera. In fact, it's too small for my manly hands.

GX85 owner here, I am getting a Canon G9X this week. Might be too small for you. If you can grab a G7X II at a decent price, go for that. Fooj XQ1/XQ2 would be very nice as well, but they're stupidly hard to get.

"snap focus" is just zone focusing without a DOF scale and is retarded
only the 40mm equivalent is any good because the winogrand meme focal length just looks like phone snaps and is prone to distortion

I currently have an s22 ultra which is fineee but I was thinking of getting a tz200 or maybe a really cheap used lx100 if its worth it though idk, maybe ill rent one and test it out, I mostly just take photos of myself out in nature or traveling, sometimes I do architectural photography for uni as well

For my advice, you're going to have to decide if you really want a true pocket camera or if having a small camera that fits in a coat pocket or bag is good enough. (trust me ive been through this a million times)
For a coat pocket camera go with whatever APSC small thing you want, theres lots of options

For a true pocket camera though?
It really depends on if you want video or photo stuff
For video, the new gopro has a larger sensor and takes some surprisingly good pics and video, you could also consider RX0 II

For photo,
Ricoh GR line and maybe Nikon Coolpix A are the smallest you're getting for APSC
M43 unfortunately doesnt have much and the lx100 is fucking huge
then youre down at 1 inch sensors which is canon and sony
Past that you can look at 1/1.7 inch which has... options

m43 is the best there is. You get compact bodies, and some very good compact lenses. With gr you're stuck with dust and meh lens, with lx100 you're already pretty large, and with 1 inch cameras you're stuck with shitty power zoom lenses.

gx850 throw away that kit lens that it ships with and fit it with 25mm/ 20mm or 17mm, and you've the best compact system that money can buy.

I got the lx100. It's got some quirks.
It's not very suited for portrait at least for me. Doesn't feel like the right focal length.
It's great in dark.
The viewfinder, has different Calibration than the screen, so colors look different.
No idea why.

It's menu isn't very fast but it's not hard.

I'd recommend using the 20 if you want to keep it as small as possible.
I have the meme kit 12-32 and while it does an OK job, in that size, primes are untouchable
IIRC this was taken with the kit lens

It's usable but it's not pocketable anyway. For second camera I'd probably pick a 1" p&s, for main camera I wouldn't pick MFT - and if I had to then not with this lens.

I recently found a tz100. Don't really like the ergonomics and the menus, but it takes nice photos, is relatively compact and light. Haven't tried video.
Other options I was looking for were Canon G7 X MII and Sony RX100 III.

I am used to panasonics menu, so I adapted quickly

Coudn't decide if i want more zoom or faster lens, but i think this choice was the best for me (I wanted to buy sony rx100 mark v but it is stupidly expensive)
