>>4161243Honest take, after 7 years with Fuji.
Early on, Fuji went crazy with firmware improvements, giving a lot of life to the older models, but that has slowed a lot.
Direct printing from camera to the Instax printers with just a couple button presses has been huge for me. Highest ROI on any camera accessory I've had by a long shot.
Worms can be real, but mostly an issue when peeping 100% on certain textures, mostly foliage. Default LR sharpening is no bueno, but there are plenty of workarounds (don't use default sharpening settings, lr enhance, x-transformer, or just use C1).
I did experience intermittent lockups, needing battery removal, with all of my X-Trans III models, but that became less frequent as firmware improved, and hasn't be an issue on my X-Trans IV or V models at all. Haven't had any other mechanical issues, and they've held up to rain/snow/sand/dirt/dropping just fine. Did have 1 lens AF motor repair, but that was after many years of heavy wedding usage.
For me, most things on the market could get me the results I want, so I just use what I find the most fun to shoot with which happens to be Fuji. I would've loved form them to be FF, but it's really not that big of a deal to me.
