I used to like the more exploration focused national geographical society stuff.
I'd just avoid political issues. I think it kind of started to go to shit more obviously in the 2000's

When the rag switched to color printing. All their earlier black and white photography was much more science and documentary oriented than their later mainstream trash. If you are looking at buying antiques stick to B/W editions.
