>>4177507Yeah, it was the maintenance hours per flight hour (30 to 1 if you can believe that) that killed the Sea Kings, mostly just the engines and transmissions. I have personally witnessed 2 emergency landings, one just behind my old house in 2010 and one by my parents' house in 2014.
They should have been retired years before they were, it was a point of contention for decades. I just wish Canada had decided to come up with a domestic design to suit their needs instead of waiting and waiting for a design that never came, and then overpaying for less.
