>>4167604Nobody said other cameras can't do the job - they can, they are just not as good. That's the whole point.
Anyway, you went way the fuck off the original point of the argument, which was that YOU think that only spoiled, billionaires sons who shoot only slutty fashion models use Hasselblad and Phase One cameras, which couldn't be further away from reality. Speaking of fashion, that field isn't even the biggest share for neither PhaseOne nor Hasselblad. It's product, film, commercial and portraiture that run circles around fashion. If you look at top 10% of ANY field, putting fashion completely aside, 80-90% of it will all be PhaseOne/Hasselblad.
With that, since both PhaseOne and Hasselblad make their product only for best of the best, they know how to make THE perfect product for the job and that product also needs a matching quality image editing software that was designed around and for that specific product - which is where Phocus and CaptureOne come into the picture. If you knew anything about how PhaseOne or Hasselblad make their cameras you would also know how Phocus and CaptureOne programs were made. Both companies make job specific, fine tuned to perfection cameras and their image editing software is exactly the same - except its made by and for THEIR cameras, not for Sony, not for Nikon, not for Fuji, not for Canon...
The fact that other manufacturers cameras files are supported, is just a bonus and CaptureOne working as good as it does with the cameras it was intended for and made for, is not guaranteed or should it be expected. CaptureOne is a program that is first and foremost made specifically and precisely for PhaseOne raw files - everything else comes as a bonus. That why every single photographer who has a Hasselblad camera or a PhaseOne camera, uses Phocus/CaptureOne over Photoshop or Lightroom or any other program for that matter.
