>>4173621~15% of same sex couples that live together in the USA are raising children. And this number is rapidly raising since the legalisation of same sex marriage and protections put in place against discrimination.
~8% of people in the USA are queer, with 20% of those aged 18 to 25. Again, this number is rising, especially for lesbians.
Within a few short years 20%+ of the population will be gay with 20%+ of those in relationships having children.
Therefore for every 25 couples you see in movies or TV with children, 1 of those should be a gay couple, for a fair and accurate representation of the USA. And gay couples are obviously much more likely to adopt than a straight couple (more than 7 times greater chance!), And there is an over representation of poc in the orphan system; mixed race adoption is normal.
There was 800 films with a theatrical release in 2019 (before COVID fucked things) so therefore assuming that there's 800 films currently in production this year, and assuming there's one couple with children per film, you should assume that there should be ~32 theatrical releases with gay parents with an adopted poc child released per year.
And here you are crying over 1.
But more importantly, why do you care? Do you not think orphans should be adopted? Do you get jealous that "even gay people" have fulfilling and loving families whilst your own mother resents you still lurking in the basement? Does the idea of gay people make you uncomfortable as you have internalised homophobia due to your insecurity about your gay desires?
Speak to us king, why are you so upset?
