Lenses don't have "profiles", you fucking moron.

There are profiles that are applied when a RAW is rendered into a raster image, either by the camera or by the editor. Lightroom/ACR has a profile for my lens. My camera also has a profile for every modern Nikon lens I attach to it.

Correcting any lens is going to require some cropping, whether you use a profile or not. You aren't getting extra megapixels, dummy.

The reason the MP is lower on the corrected photo vs uncorrected is bc is that some data is removed to avoid artifacting. One lens might have more or less distortion and will require more corrections, More corrections = more lost MP.
