I just bought a used 150-600mm lens and the plastic parts of the mount seem a little chewed up. Is this concerning?

Early photos seems just fine but the act of mounting the lens doesn't feel as snug as other Tamron lenses have.

I'm wondering if maybe the torque of the heavy lens being unsupported didn't just loosen the mount a little bit.

I bought the item on MPB so I have a six month warranty.

Zoom lenses have inferior resolution so your photos look closer to the output of an iphone 14 pro max/galaxy s23 ultra than they really should. At least until you go full gearfah and buy a snoy 70-200 f2.8 gay master mark two for $3000

After much back and forth MPB is taking the item back. I'm not being refunded my shipping charge and they never so much as apologized. They've framed the whole thing as me being dissatisfied with their grading system even though this was graded "excellent" which means "light wear/scuffs, otherwise pristine".

Never ordering from MPB again. This was a total bait and switch.

I have one of these, the 150-600 G1 Tammy. It's actually fairly decent. It softens up a tad from 500-600 and even that is a quick fix in Lightroom. It's a good lens for what it costs and if you aren't a dedicated sports photographer or shooting birds for National Geographic, it's all you need.

Oh yeah carry around 5 primes from 200-600mm on individual bodies to be fast enough while shooting sports because the slight sharpness improvement makes all the difference
