Why isn't there a recommended gear thread for every budget here?
I keep seeing many posts about people getting into photography looking for camera advice on which one to get.
They generally look for new, overpriced for the quality, gear especially if they are looking for stills only.
Most of you just shill for your favorite camera company and suggest an equivalent camera around the same price but used, which I would agree is the best choice no matter the system but these people shouldn't be going in spending 1.5k on a body and a prime when they are starting out.
