How the fuck to expose correctly with TTL

I'll having some trouble with my Godox Flash (for fuji) on my Fuji X-E1 camera with 118/55 lens.
I'm using it on TTL mode but when the subject's appears to be far, the flash is overpowering while when the subject is close, is kind of not that flashy enough.
Any help?

Now that you know how it sucks just adjust the flash EV compensation in camera to fix it. Fuji can do that right?

I think My Fuji X-E1 doesn't have Flash EV I think its only Exposure EV ( -2 -1 0 +1 +2) wheel besides shutter button.
When Flash is on TTL the only I can change are the lens mm.

also, maybe check the distance scale in the Godox if it's set to Auto or to a fixed distance. and play with EV settings - default or custom

Wow dude almost every DSLR ever has a flash EV control in the camera that works with a shortcut somewhere. Read the manual it has to be in there.

It's far more convenient to use TTL when you take a pic on the go.

Also your flash has exposure compensation
