you misunderstood, I was asking out of the blue if there is a clear difference in effect if someone with a digital cam used LR hue sliders to emulate the lomo purple film in OPs pic. It wasn't to give a solution or anything.

This sample image honestly looks like a pretty bad edit-- some of the rolls I sent to various labs gave back wildly over saturated, almost neon looking results.

If you scan and edit yourself, you can get better results. I think the film looks much better when it's not turned up for 11 like that.

I also don't think it's comparable to infrared, unless you're using some sort of filter on the camera.

I actually got pretty cool results by exposing at 200 iso and getting uncorrected scans that I then rebalanced.

I found good results taking pictures of colorful and varied scenes.
