>>4181664Congrats, they're a lot of fun. In the US, if your drone is over 249g, you have to register it with the FAA. Some other common rules I've seen are:
1) Keep the drone in your line of sight. This one is pretty hard to enforce because they get hard to see really quickly. I doubt anyone will raise a fuss over this. It does matter for you since flying behind a lot of tree cover or buildings can fuck your signal up.
2) Don't fly over large crowds of people
3) Don't fly near no-fly zones such as airports or military bases. Modern consumer drones usually geofence with these so it shouldn't be a big risk. More of a risk for homebrew ones.
Be careful flying close to water -- it can fuck with the bottom proximity sensors and cause you to nose-dive right into it.
