It's all about distortion. Nobody ever talks about that.
Use a 50mm lens of a MF sensor, it's the same as using a 15mm on an APS-C (approximately). But will give the same FOV, but the 50mm will have a natural perspective, where as the crop sensor with 15mm will show everything distorted.
