How does /p/ feel about the emergence of Ai in photography?

Adobe are currently Beta testing Ai Generative fill for photoshop and its expected to be in the main programme by September.

Other companies are playing with generating high resolution photo alterations too.

Is this just a handy or tool or THE END OF CIVILISATION AS WE KNOW IT.

I for one will never be able to show my breasts on Tinder again without people wondering if they're real.

I think this stuff will be used a lot in commercial photography like fashion, pictures of dogs on dog food ect becasue it doesn't make much of a difference if your dog doesn't look exactly like the original dog. If someone wants a headshot done they are not going to want ai generated teeth that don't look like their own. Same with wedding, pictures of peoples families, documentation of important events ect.

It's as soulless as I imagined, and the NPCs adopted it about as quickly as I assumed they would. I'll never knowingly use AI, and will be turning more and more inward as time goes on. I have even stuck to my goal of shooting exclusively film this year so far, not that it means anything. I just wanted to go back a few steps. I hope someday to not know what's going on anywhere but the soil beneath my feet. In other words, AI is the best thing to happen to me in some time.

fields like portraiture, fashion, fine art, commercial and even blue collar fields like weddings, sports, journalism, street and documentary will all be unaffected by AI because both artists and clients related to the aforementioned fields dont want anything to be faked in theri images aside from basic photoshoping of imperfections and similar so in that case, AI will actually help people who work in those fields, because shooping out imperfections will be even faster with AI, no more need for WACOM tablets and shitty pens, wasting 2 hours in photoshop because my model wanted me to remove her skin imperfections and make her hands thinner........

Feels pretty crazy. Have several full-time artists in the family, but it would really only impact one, and fortunately he's successful enough to not have to worry at all.

The early AI art stuff was awesome for me as a way to draft/sketch/plan/preview/storyboard shots I had in my head. The generative fill has been awesome for cleaning up backgrounds and expanding the fov a bit. Have even used it for quick face retouch, like blemish removal and skin smoothing. In a lot of cases it does the retouch/editing work I did manually, better and much more efficiently.

Do feel bad for all the jobs it will negatively impact, but that's kinda life.

It's a person that upon broad skill for manual craft ideally is a very socially capable, open and flexible person, that understands to communicate and order between different parties. It's really a facility manager, an undervalued and underpaid job if anything. In particular wealthy people would pay well for a person in this job because they would want to avoid trouble and welcome someone forthcoming. They would want to give the person perspective to stay and not be in trouble.
A janitor who's ignorant will lose.

TL;DR Your intentions and effort often pay more than your skill. You'll be skilled eventually if you perceive the first.

SOOC sony colors are literally unusable. They make everyone look like they have a skin infection. Sony has only been able to ignore this because everyone shoots raw which lets you profile your camera or use a raw interpreter that already has a good profile.

Before i sold my a7iv i was able to fix skin tones with a picture profile that i swear lowered the bit depth and introduced banding because the gamma curve setting affects raw in a weird way
