Yes and unlike the 90d, it has IBIS, an IBIS based AA filter, pixel shift, and astrotracer type 3.

"Upgrade" to the cheaper pentax K-1/K-1 III and you get all that, full frame, and an articulating screen

Swivel screen and much cleaner sensor. But the lack of ML cripples it. 5D3+external monitor or even a mirror makes more sense.

That's precisely what you're doing with a WYSIWYG viewfinder. It basically renders RAW pointless because you'll be shooting within the enormous constraints of JPEG which is what you get displayed on the viewfinder.

I'll even take a Sigma over a Fuji. I'm not a brand fanboy, but I am a hater of bad tech. If Fuji did an about face and started making decent cameras I wouldn't hate on those. Regrettably they're the poster child of the purveyor of shiny beads targeting the ignorant. The appeal of their products is what they look like at the price point they are, so they attract a horde of wannabes like the pretend Rolls Royce models from Chrysler did back in the day. Wannabes who don't even understand the basics of exposure, let alone the artistic elements of photography. Seriously doubt anybody here actually USED it for real work before passing judgement.

I've run about 25k frames through mine. It is a really good camera for the price and is still made, unlike that Frankenchrist of a camera called the 5DSR which while producing great images, you would get more out of spending the money on a Fujifilm GFX 50 or 100S.

The single card slot is not mountain its made out to be. Never lost a frame

Even the venerated Zeiss made a mistake making the Otus line of lenses, which would seldom reach their best possible. Better off going to a large format sensor

Really? On a bang for buck basis the 5DSR is pretty much unbeatable. It’s way cheaper than the Fuji and you’d be hard pressed to see that much of a difference in a print.

Fuji bodies are stacked with features and have great color ooc. But they limit you to the Fuji lens ecosystem and APS-C. They also have an issue with fine detail due to X-Trans. They're always just a little bit fuzzy/off when it comes to the finest details viewed 1:1. Which may or may not matter depending on your requirements. Their video output otoh is top notch. Only real video disadvantage is extreme low light vs. FF.

I respect Fuji, but both Fuji fags and Fuji haters go to extremes and aren't honest about the system.

I don't know why you're shitting on one of the best DSLRs ever made for stills. There is no real IQ difference between the 5DsR and the GFX 50. The 100S shows an IQ advantage because 100mp but that raises the question of need. With good glass a 5DsR can produce incredible 36" and 48" prints all day long. You need to be at 60" before you start to notice the 100S IQ gain. And with good glass a 5DsR can definitely stretch to 60", especially with today's scaling algorithms. The 5DsR also has one of Canon's best AF implementations literally derived from the 1DX, full weather sealing, pro layout, etc.

The 5Ds/sR can literally hang with MFDBs and the Fuji crop MF systems. For stills IQ it...along with the D800/D810/D850...is one of the best values out there.

90D is a great fucking camera for stills. It had the misfortune of being released at the end of the DSLR era so mirrorless fags will shit on it. But for stills it holds its own against current aps-c mirrorless, unless you need animal butthole af.

Someone who needs pro video features would be better off with a current mirrorless. But you could shoot it for stills for years to come.

It has the same AF as mirrorless, if you flip up the mirror, but you can't use the superior viewfinder with an eyecup so you're stuck with the dated VF in harsh sunlight.

It also has an AA filter which strongly mitigates any advantage its extra megapixels might have had, giving it no more sharpness than a 26mp fuji with superior fujinon glass.

i don't like fuji or the 90d, but i have capture one, which every fuji user says is the only correct program to use if you own a fuji. All I did was open them, zoom in, and make sure the sharpening slider was the same for each camera.

Also that’s not a great excuse for lacking a basic feature because not every great lens has OSS although many great models and subjects can hold still for a solid half second

Canon clearly wants to get you in their ecosystem and upsell you on $2000+ bodies. You get IBIS $500 earlier with nikon.

You also have limited lens support with the FTZ adapter. Nikon clearly wants to bait you with "muh ibis $500 earlier" then get you to spend thousands on new lenses. Canon is happy if you bring over all your old EF glass, it all works perfectly on RF, literally as if it was native.

I use a 200 mm F 1.8 with my 6D mark ii.

When I can't get a really high frame rate I use a monopod or tripod for it. This version doesn't have image stabilization. But even handheld across a warehouse loaded with fluorescent lights at 115th of a second, I could see a guy's nose hairs on a blow up handheld.

IBIS only needs to know the focal length and everyone who has used the ETZ21 adapter has reported 0 issues. Exif seems to actually record more accurately, 50mm lenses show up as 48-52mm depending on the lense, so there might be something calculating the real focal length.

The problem isn't the sensor stack, it's the baby mount. If it were just the sensor stack there would be no downside, they need to be more telecentric to work properly and that's a good thing.

Utter ignorance. Newer DSLR lens designs are every bit as sharp as their mirrorless counterparts. Mirrorless versions are only better when they update designs that were over a decade old. CAD/manufacturing improvements dictate glass IQ. Not "muh flange distance!!!"

It doesn't sound loud to me? I had my picture taken by a professional photographer once. maybe it was the bare concrete room, but when that Nikon shutter clicked, it was very pronounced and pleasant. It was probably a d7200 or something.
Anyhow. My 6d2 shutter sounds like dropping 2 notebooks on a wooden table. It's not very pleasant either.

welll, as much as I'd like to believe DR performance doesn't matter. It proves otherwise every time i develop my photos. I can't use my 6d2 in a scene where there's some notable contrast between light and dark. I'll have to either expose to the dark or the highlights knowing full well a lot of the details will be lost.

In a typical shooting situation with the sun behind your subject, you're fucked. The lowest cost Nikon will run circles around my full frame japan made sensor.

If the unattenuated sun is in the frame you're fucked with any camera unless you have reflectors or flash. If the sun is behind but out of frame and you ETTR in RAW you won't have a problem even with very old sensors.

Unattenuated sun is a problem, period. No sun in frame is not a problem, period. Unattenuated sun but you don't give shit about the sun/sky blowing completely out is not a problem, period. Nothing made is going to hold blue sky to a circular sun AND shadow detail unless the sun is attenuated by clouds/haze/fog/etc or you are bouncing/flashing light onto the subject. Sunset landscapes are where this comes up and depending on attenuation all cameras can handle it, no cameras can handle it without multiple frames, or high DR cameras can handle it while low DR cameras need 2 frame blending.

This is not a debate, it's math. Go spot meter blue sky right next to the sun, then spot meter a shadowed face. (Don't do this with a DSLR TTL spot meter unless you don't give a shit about your eye.) The difference is > 15 stops.

Also stop with "muh brand!" bullshit. There are Nikon/Sony/Pentax bodies with less DR than a 5D4, which is mid tier for Canon. The R3/R5 pretty much match anything out there. The 1DX mark III is more than a stop better than the D4. All sensors under one brand do not share the same DR. It's an ignorant normie meme that they do.
