manual photographing has it's purpose yes but it's not to suffer and fail.
take advantage of aperture priority, learn to set the aperture by yourself, the shutterspeed will
adjust itself to it automaticly by the built in lightmetering.
later you can switch from the AV mode to...i believe it's S on canon ?
where you set the shutter speed manually and the camera adjusts the aperture for you.
it's all about these 3 things for the beginning,
aperture, shutterspeed, iso
Let's say the scene you photographing requires
1/60 sec, f5,6 at iso 400 for a perfect illuminated photograph
but you have tourrette syndrom and shaky hands and you want the camera to shoot faster than 1/60.
you add 1+ "stop" on the shutterspeed, so 1/125sec
now you have to subtract that 1 "stop" from either the aperture or iso or you'll get a darker image.
so basicly you add 1 stop to speed (from 1/60 to 1/125)
and subtract 1 stop from aperture so it becomes f4 instead of f5,6 or if you subtract from the iso you go iso 800
google the aperture speed iso chart.
after all these, you can try full manual
