>>4189037Nice, hope the K10D would serve you well. Some suggestions from a long-time user:
Check the software version from picture metadata. If it's old then update to 1.31. That version enables a shortcut for changing the ISO speed. But on the other hand, the ability to select SDM/screw drive focusing is lost. But this isn't a problem for your lens.
K10D's autofocus sucks. Do some near/far focusing tests with some high contrast subjects. From what I have read online, back/frontfocusing is a quite common problem among K10Ds. In my camera AF was useless because it always focused past the subject. Fortunately it's possible to compensate for it in-camera by enabling a hidden "AF adjustment" service menu. It fixed all of my AF problems after a few adjustment rounds. Sadly K10D doesn't support saving AF adjustments for individual lenses.
Camera JPEG output isn't the sharpest, so if that's important to you it might be better to shoot raw (or raw+JPEG). Especially at higher ISO settings, which in this model means anything higher than about 400.
The Hyper Program mode (+ auto ISO) is very useful for most general snapshits. Highly recommended.
