My philosophy for choosing a versatile lens combination lies in whether they fulfil the following criterium:
-Landscape
-Portrait
-Macro
-Low light
Which means a 35/2, 85/1.4, and extension tubes for me. Just my two cents since some photographers become full-time sherpas carrying every prime in existence. Others use slow zooms and struggle with low light or lack of depth. Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts, especially if you’re strongly opinionated.
