The specfag will never be a better artist with any amount of tricks in their black plastic box, and you will never be a better artist for learning those tricks yourself. You're two different versions of going down an equipment rabbit hole to avoid confronting the truth. The specfag buys the next body to come out, and you will buy another, probably faster old lens and say "you dont need more" again. Or maybe an even older body. Maybe you'll finally grow the balls to shoot film and say
